Hello. I'm glad you're here. While you're here I would like to tell you a little bit about myself. My name is Cheryl Damasky and I am a currently a freshman nursing major at Indiana University of Pennsylvania. I feel that I am so very lucky to have such wonderful professors. I was very nervous in August when the time came to leave for IUP. I was scared of living a little over an hour away from home, finding out what my professors were going to be like, to meet new friends, and just college life in general. I go home every weekend, I'm not really sure why but I do. I guess that I just miss my family. I live with my mom and my younger sister, Lauren. I also have two pets, a dog and a bunny. I really miss playing with them and even taking care of them. I have a boyfriend, named Rob. When I was in high school, I volunteered at Forbes Regional Hospital. I really loved helping other people. That's where I decided to major in nursing at IUP. Every nurse that I talked to just raved about IUP and it's nursing curriculum. I was so ecstatic when I received my acceptance letter in the mail. I'm really glad that you're here and I hope that you enjoy reading my web page.

A Young Olympic Gymnast:

My Own Personal Experience

I have always had an interest in gymnastics. I read books about famous gymnasts, and I always watch the Olympics. Since, the age of three I have taken gymnastic lessons and have participated in competitions until I reached the age of twelve. I had three different instructors during my years of gymnastic experience. I had a favorite event which was the parallel uneven bars. I liked this event because it was one of the most challenging events to master. I also sometimes would take part in the tumbling event. That was basically just doing flips on the floor mat. I preferred the parallel uneven bars.
